We did it! It’s finally done!
Our wedding went as perfectly as I could have hoped. More posts to come once we get the professional photos back!
We went on our honeymoon immediately after the wedding to St. Lucia, so I naturally used that as an excuse to take pictures of some new garments :)
I used (my favorite) V8904 as a base for a tank top and a tank dress.
First up, the tank top in pineapple print cotton knit from Girl Charlee. I lowered the neckline and also lowered the armholes. This knit does not have much stretch at all so it ended up on the tight side, but I still think it’s pretty cute – and perfect for a tropical honeymoon!
I wore this top during our really long day excursion involving a catamaran ride in the morning and another during sunset…Driving manual buggies all over the mountainous island… Visiting the ocean, drive through volcano, hot mineral and mud baths, & waterfall, And of course seeing the picturesque Pitons. It was a lovely perfect day!I then made a tank dress using the same altered pattern…only change was to do a 0.5 inch swayback adjustment. I used a very dark navy blue knit that I bought from FabricMart a while ago. It photographs a little see-through unfortunately, but was a great dress for lounging around the pool.
See….told you it was a little see through!
We saw this overloaded boat pass by as we were taking photos…I was afraid it might go under!
So there we go – my first post as a married woman! We are still getting settled, writing Thank-You’s and getting back to a normal life. Get ready for more posts – can’t wait to play on my blog again!
